As a first year assignment of database we have to create a database for the NAC.
During
the observation of the system and the works of the staffs I get that they are
using the old version of the data stored record systems since from there
establishment. According to the staffs of the Ministry that is too hard to
operate and consume lot of time to do a single works.
In
the present context the Ministry has to perform very high level task that need
to be stored in the database which cannot fulfill by the current system. But
different tasks done in dissimilar software is a hard method of management for
them. For example, they use dissimilar software systems to view, add or remove records
of a particular district. This proved to
be extremely time consuming for staffs. So they wanted to replace the old
version of the software system by a new one which is easy to use and which can
perform the entire task that needs to be performed.
The assignment should submit within the 2 month and do many research. i do alot of research on this sector and complete my project. some of the feature that is used in the database are listed below
Current
Business activities and operations
- Reservation
Customer
can do reservation any time through phone call or by filling form online as per
their necessity according to the rule and regulation provided by the company.
The customer can also reserved the airline through direct visiting any branches
of the airlines reservation company. At the time of the reservation the
customer can choose what type of service they want. They must choose at which
date and time they want to do reservation for how many members. The customers
are then fixed with a confirmation number after the reservation has
been done. A customer can renew/revoke reservations.

- Ticketing
Once
the customer reserved the ticket the costumer has to fixed date and time. When
the customer fixed it the record will store in the system. If the customer
wants to change the date time or cancel the reservation then the customer has
to fulfill the rule and regulation of the company.
- Full
Payment
The
customer has to full pay when they reserved the ticket for plane. They have to
provide their identification number, address, phone numbers for the company
record.
- Payment
type
Payment
can do in many ways like cash payment, cheque payment or online transfers or
through the credit cards. The customer will give the discount according to the
facilities that they are using. Price depends upon the types
of the airlines they are reserved. If they want to cancel the reservation then
the 25% will be cut of the total amount.
- Customer
care
This
allows customer to know or to take suggestion about airlines. If they need any
help then they can contact to the customer care.
- Employee
There
are many employees in company. Which are divided according to their
qualification in different department?
- Plane
The
customer has facilities to choose the Plane of different airlines according to
their will. Different airlines plane has different facilities and the rate.
- Rate
The
rate of the ticketing is different according to the planes of the airlines. If
the customer comes in group then there is special discount offer which affect
the rate of the ticketing.
